College Application Process

Decide on the type of college is the best fit for you, and then:  â€‹         

         List colleges that are in your Safety, Match, and Reach ranges           

         Create an individualized plan           

         Acceptance letters flood your inbox

It's not too early or too late to start

SENIORS

  • Common App (Activity descriptions, Personal Statement, extra writing requirements)

  • College/career exploration

  • Application deadlines: EA/ED, RD, Rolling

  • Resume

  • SAT/ACT tutoring (all subjects)

  • Scholarship search

  • Student Aid/FAFSA

JUNIORS

  • Analyze your transcript and plan your senior curriculum for best GPA

  • Test prep for ACT and SAT and set target scores Analyze test scores for tutoring and retesting

  • Start Common App

  • Examine extracurricular and volunteer activities

  • Check qualifications for state scholarships if available

YOUNGER

  • Make an academic plan that will help you reach your goals

  • Decide on course schedules:  AP/DE/pathways

  • Choose your activities wisely, i.e. consider an internship, start a research project, find an academic camp, explore a hobby, job shadow

  • Start test prep for the PSAT

GAP YEAR STUDENTS, if you are taking a year before starting college, I will provide guidance that will help you use this year to your advantage.  Don't let one year turn into more!
